Maybe with a different skirt: the faded purple isn’t doing it for me. Black or canary yellow might be cool. And a scarf and/or hat to switch things up a little.
The purple isn’t actually faded, that’s a graphic issue (low rez and all that). It’s a very bright purple. Or maybe you’re referring to the hue?
I love plaid.
But, I don’t like this outfit combo at all. The skirt is business and plaid can rarely be business especially with a denim jacket.
Love it! Yes, I would!
Love the plaid under the jacket. So cute and casual! I love that the blouse is so long, too. But the skirt… Blah! What is that? The color looks absolutely 80’s. I think some skinny jeans would be cute, but I have yet to find any that are truly modest.
Oh, and the shoes. Haven’t we seen those in a Look of the Day before? I don’t see how they go with any part of the outfit. Too structured.
Christa, have you ever seen Project Runway. It’s not necessarily a great show, but it is a lot of fun to watch the designers create outfits from scratch in a day. I thought of you when I was watching it. The lifetime website has a few of the full episodes if your family, like mine, doesn’t have TV.
No I haven’t, though I’ve heard a ton about it from my designer friends. Yea, we don’t have a TV (shocking, I know lol) but sometimes things are made available online. I’ll check out that site you suggested.
I don’t see plaid, I see checks. I wouldn’t wear this outfit but my daughter would and she would look GREAT in it.
I love plaid! Not crazy about the color scheme, though.
This is just my style! It’s unexpected and fun…I’d definitely wear it. Even though I don’t usually like ankle boots, these are cute.
LOVE it! Except I would pair it with flats, not ankle boots.
I’m with many of the other commentors – from the waist up YES I would wear it. It would be fun to wear to a casual dinner out with friends. I even like the ankle boots. However, I’d pair it with khakis or a different color, more casual A-line skirt.
yes I agree with Amanda I would wear flats instead and a longer skirt probably denim or maybe a turquoise or blue skirt of some kind and the shirt and the jacket.
I like the general ‘look’ of the outfit. I would wear that jacket and blouse for a more modern look (slightly old fashioned is my favorite!) but not those heels (I like heels but the more classic ones better suit my style, basic pump, peep-toe, casual slingbacks, not ‘bootie’-type shoes or really high heels), or the skirt if it was that length. Colors are all good.
Love the colors…
Eh… not thrilled. Separately the pieces are fine, but this is just not an outfit I would put together.
LOVE the top half!
I personally don’t like this outfit. All of it separate, yes. Together, no. I actually love each piece, but together it doesn’t “flow”. It would be better with out the jean jacket, my personal opinion. The shoes are cute, but I wouldn’t be able to walk in them.
I think I would like the outfit better if the jacket was the plaid pattern. I think plaid is a heavy enough statement that it needs something more durable to pull it off.
I’m not crazy about this outfit. I might like it better if the skirt was a gray or black.
I like each article of clothing individually but not paired together; if each piece was separate with something else, I would like it a lot better!
I like plaid but never wear it anymore. Too many years in Catholic school plaid skirts made me allergic to plaid. But this looks is pretty.
I love the concept and the color. The actual outfit I think is hideous.
Hm…not crazy about it. I like the jacket, and the skirt would be cute in a less conspicuous color, like gray or a dark green, but the outfit is a little too “out there” for me.
Not into plaid, I feel like I did that all in the late 80s and early 90s…SO done with it!
I love the jacket and the skirt, but maybe not together?
I like the jacket and I like the skirt but not together, and plaid just is not me.
Only if I had her legs.lol! seriously it’s gorgeous …the shoes just do not go with the rest!!!!
the collar needs to be opened up and touches of sparkly jewellery added, but it is an outfit that a variety of ladies cud take and add their own touches to it… it has a lot of potential but needs individual, unique touches to make it ones own.
Aside from the ankleboots…heck yeah. I would replace them with black and white peep toe pumps.
