Hi Christa!
I was thrilled to read the things on your new website. I will be recommending this website to my friends. I am on Facebook, as well. if you can get a chance, I highly recommend (if you’re not familiar with them at all) that you visit Eric and Leslie Ludy’s website, http://www.setapartlife.com. They are very passionate people, and Leslie even has your clothing website listed as one of her favorite sites that she recommends on her new site: http://www.setapartgirl.com. Please check both sites out. They will bless your heart. Both of them have books that will change your life: “When God Writes Your Love Story,” “When Dreams Come True,” “Authentic Beauty,” Eric’s book – “The Bravehearted Gospel,” and Leslie’s new book, “Set Apart Femininity.” Both are sold out and on fire for God and for the calling that God has placed upon their lives.
I think I read somewhere that you live in Vancouver, BC? Is that true? I would love to meet you sometime…I live in WA. state. I may be moving pretty soon out of state (don’t know exactly quite yet!) but your vision for femininity is refreshing and I’d love to get to know you better. You can email me at word2waray22@yahoo.com. Please check out Eric and Leslie’s website. I had the privilege of meeting both of them earlier this month…it was so surreal- I was meeting the very authors, whose books changed my life- caused me to draw closer to Jesus Christ. They are wonderful people. You should sign up to go on one of Leslie’s Authentic Girl Retreats this year- she has one in September and one in October. I’m sure she’d LOVE to meet you!
I hope I didn’t talk your ear off, but I want to let you know, please keep on doing what you’re doing- we’ve never met, but I feel like you’re a kindred spirit.
Your sister in Christ,
Jessica
Dear Christa,
I your website is awesome!! I love how you make modest clothes for reasonable prices too! I do not have Face book, but I have an email address. I recommended your clothing website to my friend Brenna who I think has posted on this website (not quite sure) and to my sister. Thank you for having a desire to make modest clothing for women/young girls to wear. It is really hard to find clothes like that in California. I just want to really thank you. Keep up the good work Christa!
Serving Him,
Alexis
Hey Christa – I am on Facebook . . . you can find me under “Liz Lockwood.”
Love this place– going to show my daughter when she gets in. Awesome!
Hi christa,
I’m a big fan of your clothing line , all da way from South Africa. Unfortunately I’m not really able to buy any of your stuff, but I am constantly inspired by your deigns and fashion tips. I would feel honoured if I could become friends wit u on facebook but when I look u up I get a whole lot of christa taylors and i dont know which one is you! Could u help me out:)
Thanks for all u do and thanks to your family as well.
Lotsa love, jess
Jessica, I will certainly look you up-
Christa,
What a wonderful gem to find on the web! Thank you. As a young mother (I’m 24) with two young boys (ages 2 and 4) I feel strongly compelled by the spirit to give them an authentically feminine woman as a mother, and as an example of what to seek in a wife if God calls them to marriage.
That being said, I often feel like an island in a sea of secular culture. We have a strong group of friends who are so loving and supportive, but outside of this core group – just a trip to the supermarket can make me feel so isolated. My heart breaks for the lack of Christ in the hearts of people and in our culture. I feel lost between wanting to be a witness and help to them and wanting them to feel like we’re not “holier than thou” or inaccessible. As a result, I’ve gone back and forth between frumpy-as-modest vs. giving up and just wearing whatever I can find on a shelf that’s somewhat modest. After a lot of reading, a lot of praying, deciding that what my friends do isn’t necessarily what the Lord wants for me, and some trial and error, I think at this point I’m settling into a happy medium. This is why I am particularly excited to find your store’s website. This style of dress seems to be where I’m settling – classy, classic, but attractively modest. Thank you!
If I may recommend a good read, Colleen Hammond has a very insightful book called Dressing with Dignity. There is also a great website, google “pure fashion.” They have some great info on there.
Its such a comfort to know that I’m not alone in this. Keep fighting the good fight!
Your Sister in Christ,
Nicole

Please help. I was saved a year ago. Around that time God put it on my heart to dress modest and wear dresses only. I began changing what I wear and began wearing alot of long skirts, denim, jumpers, etc. I’m getting ready to go home and visit family this summer. I haven’t seen my sister in a couple of years or so.
When I sent her a picture of me, she asked “why are you dressing like a frumpy housewife?”
She doesn’t understand. She thinks I have run off and joined some religious cult
When I go home to visit, I will be dressing in skirts. How can I offset the negativity I may get and remain calm.
Thank you
I think the best thing you can do is to pray about it. Remember that suffering for God’s sake will be richly rewarded. I know it can be hard to let God be in charge, but I guarantee it is better than anything we can do ourselves.
I hope that helps, Georgie!
Georgia, it’s unfortunate that your sister feels the need to bash your personal clothing choices. Personally, I would just ignore her – and who knows, once she no longer gets attention for insulting you, she may stop entirely. The main thing is, *people should be able to disagree with each other in a civil manner.*
P.S. This is coming from someone who isn’t particularly wild about skirts!
Georgie, I apologize for the delay I was getting counsel from some older wiser women- I will be sending you an email shortly.
hey, there is a good book out there its short and precise but very helpful, which im sure it will be a blessing to anyone that reads it. the name of the book is
“WHAT IN THE WORLD SHOULD I WEAR?”
By the way CRISTA TAYLOR, I just want to express my gratitude in the encouragement that is found in how you have distinctively set your self apart from other designers.
Also wondering if You would consider pencil skirts below the knee, with a casual feel to them, khaki, navy , jean material, etc.. Skirts that scream out classical, but that do not go up with the wind, or of which wearing a slip is required. Love your designs, they are far more hip, yet modest at the same time, im 23, and you look young yourself so, I hope you share my sentiments. Also you might want to try, the beach look, hollister, and abercrombie, aeropostale, american eagle, gap, old navy, are the styles im looking for, college like clothes with a modern touch yet modest. I will revisit your website and hope to see some new exiting stuff, to shop for. By the way if you want further feedback let me know, ill be glad to help, I know a thing or two about fashion.
God Bless, and happy Greetings to all
Hi Christa,
I know you’re busy. Thanks!
What do you think of strapless dresses? Whats’ the harm in wearing one that is way up? I don’t wear one myself but I was just wondering. Also, disregard my facebook message to you
I think the problem with strapless is, essentially, too much skin exposure. Reminds me of walking around in a towel after showering, your baring quite a bit.
Additionally, I have seen very few strapless that actually fit the woman wearing it. The tendency to gape and pocket frequently results in cleavage showing and can be less than flattering.

Hi Christa,
I have a question for Kelly but was unable to ask it because I don’t have account for her blog. It’s for an educational class. I hope this is not a incontinence. It was about her “Why I Love Capitalism”, the first story in it about why it fails. I was wondering if there was a source or a reference that could get it from. Thanks so much!
I really appreciate all the ministries your family is doing. It is really a belessing to have these. Onward and upward.
Soli deo Gloria! Meg
sure thing, I’ll have Kelly contact you via email.
Thanks So Much!
